I find pure joy and calmness in a handwritten journal. From time to time, I journal to go to secret gardens in my mind whose only key is mine. Writing is my processing mechanism to sort out my jumbled thoughts and mixed feelings, and to record lessons & inspirations.

In this blog, I contemplate certain conundrums in international development; the highs and lows of pursuing a PhD in the USA; and some unruly reflections in the intersectionality of my multiple roles as a scholar, a practitioner, a woman, an Indonesian diaspora, a daughter, a friend, & a person of faith.
